Not to be dense about it, but I thought the soundtrack was one of the most commendable parts of the movie version. Personally, having seen the movie before I read the book, those were the songs on my mind when I read it.Here's the list of songs on the soundtrack:

Hey Paulina, I love that track by Feist (Bee Gees cover)! Nice one."Temptation" by New Order would go with this flick.
Come on Eileen by Dexy's Midnight Runners.I cannot even express how much I love this song in words. I will never, ever get tired of hearing it.
Hi Julianna:Have you ever heard the version done by Save Ferris?
No, I haven't. I'll have to check it out :) thanks Derek

Obviously, nothing can really touch the original. However, it's a very fun "ska" version, with a female singer. I always had fun seeing them play live!

I love that song too.
I prefer the Save Ferris version over the original.
It's time by Gavin Mikhail!! Love it :)
Heard the Save Ferris version. I don't like it.
for some reasons i associate 'there is a light that never goes out' by the smiths with stories set during this time period..also 'wake up' - arcade fire
Whenever I hear the song 'Skinny Love by Bon Iver' it reminds me of Perks. But I think thats only because I had the song on repeat during the time I was reading the book.
From Afar by Vance Joy
Keepsake by State Radio
Come on Eileen, simply because the scene where this song is played in the movie is my favourite scene ever :p add: link cover
